There was much excitement when Joe Noonan- Grandad of two of our pupils arrived to visit us last week. The pupils in the senior room have been reading some of Joe’s poems from his recently published book of poetry entitled-Mirrored Face. Joe very generously donated this wonderful compilation to all the senior children and staff of the school.
Each week a pupil gets to choose and recite their favourite poem.
The children in the junior room penned their own poems and recited them for Joe. Following a lovely afternoon, Joe took out his guitar and sang his newly composed song ‘A Summer’s Day’
We are really grateful to Joe for making the trip from Clare- especially to be with us.
We are already looking forward to a return visit.
