Pancake Day

We are all looking forward to Pancake Day on Tuesday February 17th. All the children will get the chance to cook their very own pancake.

Pupils may bring in their own fillings. Last year we had some delicious fillings including ice cream, strawberries, Nutella, banana, jam and golden syrup.

Christian Unity Week

As part of Christian Unity Week, the children of Kiltallagh School joined with the pupils from Ballyfinnane School in a service in Ballyfinnane Community Centre on Tuesday last. Well done to the pupils, parents and staff from both schools who read and sang beautifully. Thank you to Andrew our Chairperson who led our service. All the children (and staff!) enjoyed some treats and playtime in Ballyfinnane School afterwards.

School Closures 2016

Mid Term: School will close from Monday October 31st 2016 to Friday November 4th inclusive.

Christmas 2016: School will close on Thursday Dec. 22nd at 12 and re-open on Monday January 9th 2017.

Mid Term: School will be closed on Thursday February 23rd and Friday February 24th 2017

St. Patrick’s Day: School will be closed on Friday March 17th 2017.

Easter: School will close on Friday April 7th 2017 at 12 and re open on Monday April 24th 2017.

May Bank Holiday: School will be closed on Monday May 1st.

June Bank Holiday: School will be closed on Monday June 5th 2017.

Summer Holidays 2017: School will close on Tuesday June 27th at 12.

Happy New Year

We welcome you all back and hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We hope all families will settle back into the routine of school with no great difficulty. It is often said that education begins at home. And hence it’s all upon parents to help educate their child and be a better person. Education is the most important thing happening to a child and if parents are actively involved in their child’s education, then the child is definitely going to do much better. We know we can rely on your continued interest and support. If your child is experiencing any difficulties, then parents should make contact with the teacher to discuss the matter. We encourage parents to make contact with teachers regularly to check on their child’s progress.
