October 2026 Mid-term break:
School will be closed from Monday 26th October 2026 to Friday 30th October 2026 inclusive
Christmas 2026:
School will close on Tuesday 22 December 2026 and will re-open on Wednesday 6 January 2027
February Bank Holiday:
School will be closed on Monday February 1st 2027
February Mid-Term break 2027:
School will be closed on Thursday 18th February 2027 and Friday 19th February 2027.
St. Patricks Day:
School will be closed on Wednesday March 17th 2027
Easter 2027:
School will close on Friday 19th March 2027 and will re-open on Monday 5th April 2027.
May Bank Holiday:
School will be closed on Monday May 3rd 2027
June Bank Holiday:
School will be closed on Monday June 7th 2027
Summer 2027:School will close on Wednesday June 23rd at 12 noon.
School Policies
Kiltallagh NS maintains an extensive range of policies to support the running of the school.
School Policies – Availability and Review:
Our school policies are an important part of how we work together to create a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment. Policies provide guidance for staff, parents, and pupils, and are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain up to date and in line with current legislation and best practice.
Availability of Policies
A full set of school policies is available for parents/guardians to view in the school corridor.
Policies are also accessible on the school website for ease of reference.
Review Process
Policies are reviewed and updated as necessary by the Board of Management in consultation with staff, parents, and, where appropriate, pupils. Updated policies are approved by the Board and then made available for the school community.
We encourage all parents/guardians to familiarise themselves with the policies, as they provide important information on areas such as attendance, code of behaviour, child protection, health and safety, and many others.
School Books:
As outlined in the budget of September 2022, free school books will be provided for primary school pupils within the free education system.
School books, work books and a selection of copy books were acquired by the school under the Free School Books Scheme and were distributed to the students prior to their summer recess.
