Past Pupils: Triple celebrations in The Orme Household!

We were delighted to hear recently that our past pupil Charlotte Orme, has been offered a place in Trinty College Dublin, where she will study for a B.S.S. (Honours Bachelor Degree in Social Studies). Charlotte has been a very busy young lady during her gap year and has been awarded both her bronze and silver Gaisce Awards.  She is presently working towards her gold Gaisce award, which no doubt she will achieve with aplomb.  Gaisce is the most prestigious youth award in Ireland and is a challenge, to young people, from the President of Ireland to dream big and realise their potential.

 

Charlotte is pictured as she prepared to go on a hike as part of her Gold Gaisce adventure Journey this past summer. The hike was for four days and three nights -taking in The Kerry Way from Killarney to Kells.

We are very proud of your achievements Charlotte and we hope you will continue to thrive in your educational journey.

 

Charlotte’s younger brother Rory has commenced an Apprenticeship with Flycas Engineering Ltd in Keel, Co. Kerry. Rory was always gifted with his hands and displayed a vast knowledge and profound interest in this area far beyond his years- even as a young student here in Kiltallagh Primary School.

Not to be outdone, their dad John (former BOM member in Kiltallagh) has just qualified as an ADI - Driving Instructor. He has recently taken up a position in the business of another past pupil Eric Wharton of Kerry School of Driving- www.kerrydrivinglessons.com.
